SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: RESTARTING CHURCH

5/5/2020 Update

Hello church family!

Pastor Chris here.

The leadership at Calvary Chapel Kuna is pleased to announce that:

Calvary Chapel Kuna will open Sunday, May 10th at 10:00 AM!

Praise the Lord! And it's Mother’s Day!

The state of Idaho has released their:

STAGE 1: PROTOCOLS FOR PLACES OF WORSHIP plan to reopen churches.

This Sunday, May 10, we will have in-person church services in our building, 757 E. Stagecoach Way, in Kuna, including communion!

Our mid-week studies will follow in-person soon after that.

We have considered all of the recommendations issued by the State of Idaho for Phase 1, and, have done our best to give deference to them. With that in mind and in full acknowledgment that this church belongs to Jesus Christ alone, we will conduct our services accordingly.

We will offer two ways to participate in our services on Sunday.

1) WE WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER OUR ONLINE SERVICES through our Facebook Live connection.

2) Those who desire to join us in the onsite service are welcomed.

We will be offering both onsite and remote live streaming from here on.

Coffee and water bottles will be available in the sanctuary as always.

No soda at this time.

After church snacks will not be available, but will be soon.

There will no Sunday School or Youth Group this Sunday.

We hope to have those services up and running soon.

We do ask that those who are sick, have symptoms, or have underlying medical issues that concern them, or are immunocompromised, please stay home and join us online.

Social Distancing (We like to call it Physical Distancing)

Seats will be set up in the same manner as always.

We considered different ways to arrange seats to comply with physical distancing, but each one would require that we limit who can attend the onsite services.

There is no practical way to do that.

We want everyone to feel welcomed.

Families can sit together.

However, we request that our church family allow physical distance between groups as much as possible.

We want all to be both comfortable and safe.

We will celebrate Communion this Sunday.

We will have a normal Communion service, but have taken the precaution to use pre-packaged wafer/juice containers to help minimize the handling of the elements.

This is a temporary measure, but at this early stage of opening, it seemed reasonable. Naturally, all online saints are welcome to participate in this holy sacrament of our faith from home.

Safety Precautions

The sanctuary will be sanitized and hand sanitizer will be accessible to all who attend services.

We encourage that you use the sanitizer as you enter the sanctuary.

The use of masks is a personal choice and we respect each person’s choice.

We simply ask everyone to respect the ability of everyone to best decide that for themselves.

Remember, all will be welcome.

We are very excited to be once again meeting in our sanctuary, and pray for the Lord’s blessings on our worship and time in the word of God.

See you Sunday!
